The curse on anyone who rebuilds Jericho

After Jericho falls, Joshua pronounces a curse on the man who rebuilds the city: he will lay its foundation at the cost of his firstborn, and set up its gates at the cost of his youngest. Centuries later, in Ahab's reign, Hiel of Bethel rebuilds Jericho and loses his sons, 'according to the word of the LORD that he spoke by Joshua'.
