BibleWay has no advertising, no analytics and no tracking scripts. Here is everything that is stored.
Highlights, reader settings, learning progress, where you last read, the days you read (your reading streak), and reading-plan progress are kept in your browser's own storage, plus one small cookie (bw_t) that remembers your preferred translation. They never leave your device unless you sign in.
Only what you choose to save is sent to our database, hosted by Supabase: your email address, the settings and progress listed on the account page, the notes, saved verses and plan progress you create, and the days you open a chapter (dates only — never which chapters or verses). Every row is protected so that only you can read or change it.
Sign-in uses a magic link or a password (passwords are stored hashed by Supabase, never by us). A session token is kept in your browser so you stay signed in.
You can export your notes as Markdown from the notes page, delete any note or saved verse, and sign out at any time. Signing out leaves your highlights and settings on the device; clear your browser's site data to remove them.
