A prayer of one who is afflicted, when he grows faint and pours out his lament before the LORD.

In the beginning you laid the foundations of the earth

Psalm 102 praises the LORD as the unchanging Creator who will outlast heaven and earth. Hebrews applies these lines to the Son, together with Psalm 110:1, to show that he is not one of the angels but the agent of creation.
