Do not muzzle the ox

Paul cites the law that a threshing ox must not be muzzled to argue that those who proclaim the gospel have a right to be supported. He asks whether God cares about oxen and says the law was written 'for our sake'. He uses the law to draw a principle rather than limit it to animals.
