BackgroundWidely held reading

Remember your Creator

The book closes by urging remembrance of God in youth before aging's decay — the grinders cease, the windows dim — and ends: fear God and keep his commandments. The frame turns the whole experiment in meaning toward reverent obedience.

When: Epilogue of Ecclesiastes.

Echoed in2 Corinthians 5:10 — All appearing before the judgment seat.
